The Institute of Arts and Humanities (IAH) supports interdisciplinary research, teaching and public dialogue in the Arts and Humanities. IAH houses 15 academic programs, one center, and the Analytical Writing Program. IAH encourages conversations about the arts and humanities across borders of time, place, culture and discipline. Within IAH, the Analytical Writing Program oversees student fulfillment of the Entry Level Writing Requirement (ELWR) and offers other related courses. The program conducts the on-campus Writing Placement Process (WPP), coordinates the offering of analytical writing courses, and evaluates student achievement through portfolio assessment. As a campus-wide program, the Analytical Writing Program coordinates its activities with the Office of Admissions and Registrar, the undergraduate writing programs, and the college offices of advising. Provides a wide range of student services of moderately complex scope. Responsible for the academic advising, course scheduling, and administrative coordination of several undergraduate programs within the Institute of Arts and Humanities and the Analytical Writing Program. Serves as the program liaison for all inquiries. Advises majors and minors, conducts degree audits, responds to student questions, and processes petitions. Serves at the liaison between the Registrar and faculty to manage course scheduling, process authorizations for language course enrollment, and process add/drops for courses. Monitors course enrollments. Provides varied support to faculty and department management. Coordinates with the program director and faculty on curriculum and course offerings, facilitate course updates and additions, and revise catalog copy.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $53,800 - $91,000 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $25.77 - $43.58 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
