Partnerships

The Partnerships team works to scale Pew's impact in the world by building an engaged community of partners and mobilizing resources to advance our vital work.

Position Overview

Do you have a passion for building meaningful relationships and mobilizing resources to create positive societal impact? As an officer on Pew's Partnerships team, you'll be at the forefront of building fundraising and partnership support for three key programmatic areas: Government Performance (GP), Philadelphia projects, and Scientific Advancement. These areas have been strategically combined due to their overlapping agendas and interdependencies, creating a portfolio that promotes cross-promotion with current and prospective donors.

Under the guidance of the team director, you'll establish relationships both internally and externally, using metrics and ROI to meet key programmatic deliverables. To be successful, you'll need to have strong relationship-building skills, be adept at setting priorities and anticipating needs, maintain a strong work ethic, have the discretion to handle confidential information, and the ability to quickly learn Pew and Partnerships' systems. As you become knowledgeable in all facets of Partnerships, you'll lead and support ongoing and special projects between your focus area and Partnerships more broadly as needed. Your responsibilities will evolve in line with Partnerships' and the institution's growth and needs.

This position is based in Pew's Washington, DC office. You'll participate in Pew's core in-office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week.

  • Participate fully in Pew's Salesforce constituent relationship management and PeopleSoft financial systems, collaborating with analytics and administrative team members.

  • Be meticulous in prospect reporting and tracking relationships in the CRM utilized by the team.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, is required; advanced degree preferred.

  • Commitment to embody, practice, and develop growth mindset skill sets in work and interactions.

  • Documented success personally implementing sophisticated cultivation strategies leading to successful closure of six and seven figure gifts.

  • A strong commitment to producing measurable results combined with creativity in problem solving.
