Parent Aid

DEPARTMENT: Foster Care (Columbia, MO)

Starting Salary: $15.00 - $17.60 Hourly

(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Parent Aid provides support services to parents and families to help strengthen relationships and reunify parents and children. This position helps to develop trusting, nurturing, and supportive relationships with families through short and long term intervention using various social work and educational methods, including individual, and/or group family support, and supervised visitation. This is a part-time position that may require evenings and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires a High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED), and a minimum of two years' experience working with children and families and demonstrate knowledge of child development practice. Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license, proof of current vehicle insurance and reliable transportation.
