Creighton University, School of Dentistry is looking for a Manager of Patient Care Services

The Manager of Patient Care Services is responsible for:



  • Directing all day to day operations and workflows pertaining to patient and student scheduling activities (for more than 34,000 patient visits annually)
  • Monitor call center activities including call queues and patient
  • Oversees Axium workflows to achieve the best utilization of clinical chairs
  • Handles the referral process to ensure all outside referrals are handled appropriately
  • Ensures accurate student/team/patient assignments by her team
  • Assists with setting and achieving operational goals
  • Facilitates patient care and student education coordination through best practices in operations within the positions purview
  • Performs data collection, analysis and outcomes reporting
  • Supervise team members responsible for scheduling patient care and managing student educational requirements through patient care
  • Manage the Dental software application (axiUm) data and reporting that supports these functions
  • Point person for the clinic for customer-facing interactions with patients for the School of Dentistry
  • Responsible for the processes, procedures and metrics to support all patient appointments, patient check-in, handling phone calls, managing patient care questions and concerns
  • Responsible for employee hiring, scheduling, personnel performance, goal setting and development of the Patient Care Coordinators and Patient Access Team
  • Hold team member accountable for meeting performance and clinical benchmarks set forth by the Senior Director of Operations and Clinic Director
  • Meet budgetary targets
  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities, regularly attend meetings and presentations to learn about new techniques, equipment, and policies. With this constant education, you observe and evaluate current procedures and then tweak them or create new processes to ensure the best possible patient care.



This position will report to the Senior Director of Operations.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent managerial experience preferred in the healthcare setting
  • Three (3) years experience with patient scheduling and support, customer service.
  • Experience with HIPPA, FERPA, EEO, and other regulatory requirements of the job
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with Dental software solutions and Electronic Health Record management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Flexible; able to encourage and lead in times of change



Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Knowledge of patient registration and billing processes.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Experience with Dental software solutions and Electronic Health Record management
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Flexible; able to encourage and lead in times of change
  • Ability to operate a computer and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
