Job summary:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Python-AWS Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in developing and deploying applications using Python and AWS services. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure cloud-based solutions.

Location: Richmond, VA

You must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

*Candidate is required to be in the office 2 to 3 days a week*

Responsibilities

* Collaborate with and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions in Python-AWS development tools and technologies

* Experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities and engineering communities.

* Adhere to client leadership and delivery goals align to the business agreement.

Required Skills:

* Bachelor's Degree or military experience At least 4 years of experience in software development

* Good in problem solving.

* AWS experience, primarily in Serverless (lambda, step functions)

* CICD pipeline (CDK, CFT)

* REST API

* DynamoDB

* Postgres Dara structures and algorithms

* Object oriented programming

* Usage of commonly used AWS libraries (boto3, AWS power tools) for interacting with S3, SNS, SQS, Lambda, Step Functions, Cloud Watch to name a few, Pytest-cov for unit testing, ATDD & Performance testing

Salary and Other Compensation:

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
