Associate Director, IT Data Management - Commercial

This role is considered Hybrid.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Commercial business & data governance stakeholders to understand their data management & analytics goals and processes to create value through technology and help them be more effective
  • Educate and counsel business & IT leaders on how data management & analytics capabilities could meet their needs in ways that will drive performance and value.
  • Assume the commercial data management development lead role, which includes aligning data requirements, projects from capture to retrieval in order to maximize the value of our data.
  • Mediate, escalate and/or negotiate differences or competing goals between business teams and other parties (e.g., IT organization, third-party vendors/providers).
  • Implement and manage data management (repository) systems that support the Commercial organization
  • Orchestrate and manage third-party-vendors to deliver projects.
  • Partner with data governance, other IT teams to ensure data integrity, availability, and security
  • Partner with the greater global Commercial and IT organizations, especially in Europe, Asia and South America
  • Lead, manage and execute a portfolio of systems initiatives and projects
  • Lead development of a technical roadmap for all Commercial data projects, to ensure they meet business requirements and technology trend
  • Meet with and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, maintaining rich client relationships

Qualifications

  • BS/MS or equivalent years experience and 10 or more years of IT Data Management & Analytics.
  • Data Management & Analytics skills with competency in SDLC, specifically in comprehensive needs analysis, user requirements development, and analytical thinking.
  • Must have strong technical expertise and experience in SW engineering with data engineering, analytics, data lake management, implementation life cycle, reporting and digital strategy.
  • Technically savvy and capable of balancing both Business Analyst and System Administrative roles.
  • Capable of effectively leading and executing large, complex projects to completion using project management methodologies.
  • Able to appropriately apply information privacy, data security, and confidentiality standards.
  • Deep experience and expertise managing and working with Snowflake, DBT, & Power BI platforms
  • Ability to work effectively with matrixed and global teams.
  • Deep experience with hybrid staffing models, outsourcing and vendor management.
  • Able to build relationships with business partners and key stakeholders at all levels.
  • Able to negotiate conflict and solve problems.
