Kratos Space & Missile Defense Systems is seeking a Program Manager to provide management, leadership, and oversight for developmental hypersonic, missile defense, and strategic programs and pursuits. All projects are managed iend-to-end but the candidate will focus on managing early development projects, to include ideation and architecture development, conceptual design, trade studies, prototyping, material and subscale testing, prototype testing, and preliminary design. Support will be provided on an as-needed basis for flight test programs which would include mission planning, design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, and launch operations. The program manager will contribute to strategic planning, business development, and lead various advanced technology projects for the corporation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must understand program management processes.
- Have strong communication and customer service skills and be able to motivate teams.
- Possess strong analytical skills and should understand corporate and program finance.
- Participation in all stages of a program execution and is responsible for ensuring success through planning, scheduling, execution, and monitoring of all project tasks.
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams at geographically dispersed locations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Manage complex activities including development of new concepts and techniques to solve problems based on analysis and evaluation of data.
- Communicate and support internal and external resources (staff, facilities, and equipment).
- Create project milestone plans, schedules, and contract work breakdown structures as appropriate.
- Responsible for project budget, schedule, monitoring, and completion of goals and milestones in accordance with approved plans.
- Perform in-depth program, technical, and financial reviews.
- Manage ongoing contractual project requirements (schedule, technical, and budgetary).
- Develop proposals and cost estimates for new and existing customers based on customer requirements and Kratos business practices.
- Provide strategic thinking towards technical innovation and customer engagement.
- Maintain on-going communication with team, suppliers, customers, and leadership.
- Exhibit sound judgment, build consensus, and motivate teams.
- Provide clear guidance and display strong leadership.
- Duties may be broadly defined and assignments may be received in the form of expected results, due dates and general guidance; thus, the program manager must creatively select, apply and modify approaches from established policies/procedures and precedence to achieve success.
- Travel requirements will fluctuate but are not expected to be over 15%

Required Experience:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Technical leadership experience in boost glide vehicles, re-entry vehicles, hypersonic systems, or other complex guided vehicles
- BS/BA or higher degree in engineering or science
- Direct program leadership experience with cross-functional teams
- Seven (7) years experience minimum, including three (3) years demonstrating program or engineering leadership of aerospace and defense programs
- US Citizen
- Active DoD Secret clearance
