Actuarial Associate III

Symetra has an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Actuarial Associate III!

About the role

The RD Actuarial Financial Reporting team is looking for an actuary to join the team! We are seeking an actuarial associate III to conduct our annuity financial reporting work. This position will play a key role in our annuity products STAT and GAAP reserve setting, LDTI implementation and other process enhancement project as needed.

What you will do

• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annually valuation process for annuity products including payout annuity and deferred annuity
• Review actuarial reports prepared by junior staff and provide timely and comprehensive analysis
• Respond to internal and external audit inquiries
• Maintain and enhance annuity valuation model

Compensation

Salary Range:$91,200 - $151,900plus eligibility for annual bonus programs

Who you are

• Bachelors degree or equivalent with strong quantitative background including college level mathematics.
• 3 to 5 years of annuity related actuarial experience.
• 5 to 7 actuarial exams, close to ASA
• Proven ability to adhere to due dates and strong sense of accountability
• Has a good understanding of annuity products
• Ability to work collaboratively
• Experience with Python, Snowflake and or other actuarial modeling software.
• High school diploma required.
