In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing business support systems (BSS) solutions for telecom operators. You should have extensive knowledge of telecom BSS technologies, including billing, CRM, order management, service assurance, and revenue management. You will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams to architect scalable, efficient, and innovative BSS solutions that meet the evolving needs of the business. Responsibilities: * Design and develop end-to-end BSS solutions that meet business requirements and align with the company's overall telecom architecture strategy. * Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand business processes and translate them into technical requirements and solution designs. * Ensure that BSS solutions integrate seamlessly with OSS (Operational Support Systems), network elements, and other enterprise systems. * Lead the architecture and design of BSS components, including billing systems, order management, service assurance, and customer care applications. * Define integration strategies and architectural patterns for connecting BSS solutions with existing network and IT systems. * Evaluate and select BSS platforms, tools, that meet business needs, ensuring scalability, security, and performance * Provide technical leadership on BSS architecture design, ensuring the adoption of best practices, standards, and industry benchmarks. * Good to have experience in Microservice implantation * Collaborate with business analysts and process owners to model and optimize business processes, ensuring BSS solutions support efficient operations. * Engage with key stakeholders (product owners, IT leadership, network engineers, vendors) to align BSS architecture with business objectives and technical constraints. * Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management, in a clear and understandable way. * Facilitate workshops and design sessions to align stakeholders on system capabilities and architectural decisions. * Ensure that BSS solutions meet service level agreements (SLAs) and performance standards, and provide continuous improvement recommendations. * Develop strategies for managing the lifecycle of BSS applications, ensuring updates, patches, and enhancements are planned and executed smoothly. * Ensure that all BSS solutions adhere to relevant security, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including data protection (e.g., GDPR) and telecom industry standards. * Work with security teams to incorporate security best practices into the design and deployment of BSS solutions. * Create and maintain architecture documentation, including solution design diagrams, integration points, and detailed technical specifications. * Provide regular updates and reports to leadership on the status of BSS architecture, including risks, challenges, and mitigation strategies. Qualifications * Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. * Expertise in BSS platform technologies such as Amdocs, Oracle Communications, Ericsson, or similar platforms. * Good to have experience in Oracle BRM. * Preferred to have knowledge on RESTful APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures (SOA). * Experience with enterprise integration technologies (ESBs, APIs, SOAP, REST). * Strong knowledge of telecom business models, revenue assurance, billing, order management, and service assurance. * Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence). * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect solutions for complex business problems. * Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence stakeholders and technical teams. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
