Overview Under general supervision, is responsible for park interpretation and conservation work of average difficulty; and performs related work as required. The Park Interpretive Ranger 2 may assist with staff program scheduling. The Park Interpretive Ranger 2 functions to provide interpretative review and support to park staff including planning, implementing a park resource management plan, and may supervise park staff and seasonal employees. This is the lead class for the Park Interpretive Ranger sub-series. An employee in the class trains other park staff including other park programming staff. This class differs from the Park Interpretive Ranger 1, in that the incumbent of the Park Interpretive Ranger 2 acts in a training capacity. Responsibilities
