Location: NAS Patuxent River, MD

Security Clearance Requirement: Top Secret

As the Quality Assurance Specialist, Software, you will be supporting the government customer on the Persistent Maritime Unmanned Aircraft Systems Program (PMA-262) based at NAS Patuxent River, MD. In this role, you will provide technical support for the software development team by creating and updating test plans, ensuring accuracy and integrity of software testing, and performing other functions which are integral to the software development process. This is a 100% on-site position; telework is not allowable due to the nature of the work.

  • Collaborating with and gathering inputs from management and vendors to implement process enhancements and improvements.
  • Monitoring QA testing progresses to ensure all releases meet documented quality standards.
  • Ensuring testing is inclusive of all changes in software documents and versions, and that the testing being conducted is thorough and complete for each test event and release.
  • Communicating test results/findings to the team and vendors, as needed.
  • Creating and updating software test plans and software test artifacts to test software releases, and coordinating with the team to ensure all changes and results are known and documented, as well as assisting in redlining documents.
  • Maintaining required data in an organized manner that is readily accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Managing release deployments and facilitating the post deployment validation process, and monitoring releases to ensure successful implementation of releases.
  • Providing coordination and guidance for release related questions and issues and acting as lesion between multiple stakeholders of the releases.
  • Collaborating with project functional teams to integrate their inputs into software tests.
  • Effectively managing the release communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

  • At least 5 years of related QA experience in the realm of software/test is required.
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting a NAVAIR program is desired.
  • Experience with JIRA, DOORS, Confluence, and other CM related tools is required.
  • You are able to effectively communicate technical information to vendors and government and CSS team members.
  • You have experience in gathering requirements, scope definition and environment provisioning in a fast paced, evolving environment.
  • You have experience working with project functional teams to integrate their recommendations into software testing.
  • You are experienced in the documentation of software test results.

Security Clearance Requirement:

  • This position requires U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Top Secret clearance. Selected candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary Range:

  • The estimated salary range for this position will be $115,000-$150,000 annually, based on an individual's level of experience and skill set. It is our goal at ASEC to provide equitable compensation to all employees.
