Project Manager ASSOCIATION(S): Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association, HOPA REPORTS TO: Senior Manager of Health Policy & Advocacy DIRECT REPORTS: N/A STATUS: Exempt (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week) GENERAL SUMMARY: The Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Association (HOPA) Supports pharmacy practitioners and promotes and advances hematology/oncology pharmacy to optimize the care of individuals affected by cancer. The Project Manager will work closely with the Senior Manager of Health Policy & Advocacy to support HOPA's Research & Quality pillar and execute projects related to research. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES (Minimum of 37.5 hours/week) : Serve as the staff liaison to the Research Grant Reviewers Committee, including organizing meetings/calls, working with committee leadership to set agendas, drafting minutes, and completing action items Manage the annual HOPA Research Fund Award application process. Work with in-house support services to launch the application platform annually Work with HOPA MarComms team to develop a communication plan for award applications Work with grant recipients to collect data as needed Serve as staff liaison to grant recipients Follow-up with grant recipients to encourage them to publish in the HOPA journal and/or determine if research has been published Work with recipients to schedule time at the annual meeting for them to report on their research Manage the financial aspect of the grants regarding distributing funds, and collecting any unused funds. Serve as the staff liaison to the Practice Outcomes and Professional Benchmarking Committee (POPBC), including organizing meetings/calls, working with committee leadership to set agendas, drafting minutes, and completing action items Serve as the staff liaison to the Oral Chemotherapy Collaborative (OCC), including organizing meetings/calls, working with committee leadership to set agendas, drafting minutes, and completing action items Attend meetings of the Research & Quality Council and provide administrative support as needed Other duties as assigned. AMOUNT OF TRAVEL REQUIRED: 1- 2 weeks per year. Some weekend work may be required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Office background, association or medical/research background preferred. Excellent writing and organizational skills, good oral communication skills. Ability to work independently but as part of a small, strong team. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to move freely around annual meeting site, tolerance for occasional long hours, some packaging and lifting up to 50 pounds. This position is located in downtown Milwaukee, WI and a minimum of two days onsite in the office (including Wednesday as an all-staff-in-office day) are a requirement of the role.
