The Opportunity:

The Roche Support Network is dedicated to providing exceptional support to customers. As a Field Applications Specialist - Mass Spectrometry you will:

  • Serve as the Roche liaison and expert with the field and customers on all consultative, administrative and technical support matters pertaining to implementation and ongoing support of assigned Roche systems.

  • Serve as the lead technical expert for field support staff by supporting the local support team with the identification, analysis, and execution of complex hardware instrument implementations, including pre-installation planning and resolution of post-implementation hardware issues.

  • Troubleshoot instrument and assay performance issues in partnership with local and global escalation teams.

  • Provide analysis, feedback and recommendations on product failure trends and serviceability issues.

  • Promote effective, positive, and productive communications among team members to ensure and maximize satisfaction of customers.

  • Manage assigned installations at a level that promotes goodwill, confidence and credibility in order to exceed customer expectations in terms of product, installation and support quality.

  • Perform initial and ongoing training of end users

  • Partner with Roche sales team to assist with technical discussions during the assay and instrument sales process

This is a national field based role - the territory is the United States.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Information Technology, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biology or Clinical Laboratory or equivalent work experience.

  • 3 + years of experience implementing and evaluating complex laboratory, IT products, medical diagnostic equipment, reagents and/or systems.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Mass spectrometry experience and liquid chromatography knowledge

  • Ability to learn and remain current on Roche solutions across various fields, including chemistry, immunology, molecular, life sciences, and IT solutions, while keeping up with industry trends.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, along with project management experience.

  • Strong customer consultative skills, including advanced scientific knowledge, exceptional customer engagement, and the ability to foster strong customer relationships.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Indiana is $80,300.00 - $149,100.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
