Job purpose

Supervisory and administrative support as required in area of Fabrication and Overhaul of Revamp packaging. Compile and assure accuracy completing Engine and Compressor Inspections reports and other WPI Quality Assurance Reporting. This position also assumes the role of liaison between Engineering, Management, expenses and Shop personnel. Schedule production of packages, assist in the day to day operations, and ensure safety compliance. Coordinate/communicate with inspectors on production and compliance.

Duties and responsibilities



  • Read, understand and supervise construction of project to engineering drawings and designs
  • Knowledge of WPI Welding Procedures for testing welders
  • Fully understand Packaging Standards established by Waukesha and other engine manufactures
  • Fully understand Packaging Standards established by Compressor Manufacturers
  • Moderate knowledge of PLC Control Panels
  • Compressor background for overhaul, assembly and ability to troubleshoot problems
  • Accepts responsibility for the quality of work performed including alignment, running clearances and torques
  • Completes WPI Inspection Reports for all Compressor overhauls
  • Supervises the receipt of materials against Purchase Order and the BOM. Reports problems to Supervisor/Project Engineer/Buyer to resolve any disputes



Qualifications



  • Must have 6 years of previous experience
  • G.E.D. or High School Diploma
  • Must be certified in WED GL, VHP and VGF Gas Engine Technology
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted

  • Must attend monthly safety meetings and observe safety rules
