This role is responsible for managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy in stock counts, and processing work orders efficiently to support the Hypersonic Structures group. This position will be working closely with all phases of the project and will need to coordinate with engineers, engineering technical services, security and project management office. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Support the engineering team in the following ways:
- Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular counts and audits
- Receive shipments for the Hypersonic Structures group
- Identify required supplies, materials and equipment that will need to be purchased
- Receive and review work orders to ensure completeness
- Enter work order details into system and track work order progress
- Resolve any issues or delays related to work orders completeness of package
- Update and maintain inventory and work order databases
- Generate and analyze inventory and reports to identify trends or issues
- Provide weekly updates to management regarding inventory status and ordering processes
- Submit customer reports of customeris current inventory
- Inspect incoming shipments for quality and quantity accuracy
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of inventory items
- Implement and enforce inventory management policies and procedures
- Work closely with Hypersonic Structures Engineering team, Engineering Technical Service team and Procurement teams
- Ensures compliance to all regulatory and safety requirements
Other Job Functions:
- Performs other duties as may be required by supervisor
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely fulfillment of work orders
- Deliver test model to test facilities
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to discuss inventory and operational needs
- Cross train with the Hypersonic Structures Lab team to support surge request
- Observes appropriate safety and study requirements by reading, understanding, and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Experience reading and following engineering assembly drawings/instructions
- Operate Forklift

Required Experience:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience using multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and other laboratory equipment.
- Ability to work well with others in a dynamic environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated to continually expand knowledge and skills related to this position
- Must have a demonstrated ability to work in a team lab/office environment with excellent communication skills

In performing the work for this position, the engineer must be able to:
- Perform work utilizing a computer for extended periods of time
- Sit for extended periods of time without being able to leave the work area
- Climb ladders and stairs in performing the work
