Job Description:
IS4S is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead technical programs focused on ammunition and explosives safety operations. The ideal candidate will bring extensive project management experience and technical expertise in energetics development and manufacturing, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects ensuring adherence to OP-5 safety standards and protocols.
- Track project progress, budget, and timelines, proactively managing risks.
- Develop detailed program plans, including timelines, resource allocation, budget management, and risk mitigation.
- Coordinate and communicate with manufacturing and engineering teams to achieve milestones and ensure smooth execution of programs.
- Develop reporting mechanisms to ensure stakeholder transparency.
- Build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration across teams.
- Prepare and present status reports, including program performance metrics, milestones, and risks to senior leadership.
- Identify and resolve program risks, issues, and roadblocks to propose corrective actions.
- Foster an environment of continuous improvement and open communication.
Basic Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of OP-5: Ammunition and Explosives Safety Ashore.
- 15+ years of project management experience
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Proven experience in managing large, complex, cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Expertise in financial management, budgeting, and resource allocation.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior leadership and stakeholders.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello, or similar).
- Minimum Security Clearance: SECRET; TS if necessary.
Desired Experience:
- Expertise in energetics development and manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills and risk management capabilities.
- Certification in Project Management (PMP, PgMP, or similar) is highly desirable.
- Experience in DoD energetics related to weapons development or integration.
- Energetics and Munitions knowledge.
- Prior Military Service
