Position Summary
Chord Energy is seeking an experienced and results-driven Production Reporting Manager to lead our dynamic production reporting team in supporting our growing upstream oil and gas assets. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in production reporting, data analysis, and process improvement. This role will be responsible for managing and optimizing the production reporting processes, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of production data across multiple assets. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant industry experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role, and a strong background in systems integration, automation, and reporting technologies.Hybrid work schedule optional (Monday and Friday remote) with 9/80 Fridays. Occasional travel to our core operating areas will be required. Level and salary commensurate with background and experience.
Essential Job Functions
- Lead and oversee the production reporting function, ensuring complete, accurate and timely reporting of production volumes, field performance, and key operational metrics for the organization's upstream assets
- Manage the preparation and presentation of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual production reports, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and stakeholder requirements
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production operations, reservoir engineering, marketing, and finance to ensure seamless data integration and reporting from various production systems
- Maintain robust reporting processes, internal controls, and data reconciliation methodologies to ensure complete and accurate production data
- Leverage systems such as Procount, Enertia, and other associated platforms to extract, analyze, and present production data efficiently
- Collaborate with IT and automation teams to implement and enhance production reporting tools, automation workflows, and data systems integration to improve reporting efficiency and accuracy
- Drive the integration of reporting systems and processes, supporting mergers and acquisitions (M&A) to ensure smooth data migration, system compatibility, and reporting consistency across acquired assets
- Lead process improvement initiatives within the production reporting domain, recommending and implementing solutions that streamline workflows, reduce errors, and optimize reporting timelines
- Oversee the creation of ad-hoc reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI, Spotfire, and other reporting tools to communicate production trends, KPIs, and operational performance to senior management and stakeholders
- Coach and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative work environment and supporting professional development
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Engineering, Business, or related field
- 10 years of relevant industry experience in production reporting, data analysis, and production management for an E&P operator within the upstream oil & gas sector
- At least 2 years of leadership experience managing teams and leading production reporting functions or similar roles
- Expertise in production reporting software such as Procount, Enertia, and other upstream systems
- Proficiency in data analysis, SQL queries, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Spotfire, and Excel
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate them into actionable insights
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights and reports to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automation and systems integration within production reporting processes to enhance efficiency and data accuracy
- Proven experience in process improvement methodologies, with the ability to identify areas of inefficiency and drive solutions to optimize reporting and operational workflows
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write complex queries for data extraction and analysis
