Union Maintenance Mechanic - Boston, MA Are you ready to put your diverse technical skills to the test in a dynamic, ever-changing environment? We're seeking a seasoned Union Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in bustling Boston, MA. This role offers the perfect blend of creativity and technical expertise, allowing you to transform spaces and solve complex maintenance challenges daily. You will support 50 retail branches and complete work orders, daily. If you thrive on variety and take pride in your craftsmanship, this position could be your next exciting career move! Local Union 877 Schedule: Monday - Friday Pay $33/HR Some of what you will do: Breathe new life into interiors and exteriors with your expert painting skills Create stunning visual experiences by hanging various wall coverings Showcase your precision in hanging and finishing drywall and plaster Flex your project management muscles by estimating projects and ordering materials Depending on the location, you may also:Install tile with meticulous attention to detail Restore and refinish furniture to its former glory Frame structures with expert carpentry skills Tackle HVAC repairs to keep our spaces comfortable year-round Who We're Looking For: Required A high School Diploma or equivalent 5+ years of maintenance experience in multiple areas, including painting and carpentry A valid state-issued driver's license Computer literacy Ability to adapt techniques and principles across several technical fields Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to modify approaches as needed Preferred Experience in tile installation, furniture finishing, framing, and HVAC repairs Project estimation and material management skills Physical work requirements and work conditions Stand and walk for prolonged periods Regularly lift, move, and/or carry up to 50 pounds Perform overhead work often while balanced standing on a ladder Bend, kneel, twist, and reach to get to areas difficult to access and/or confined areas like closets, crawl spaces, attics, etc. Join our team and help us maintain and improve our spaces with your diverse skill set and creative touch!
