Company Overview:
Our client is an established Studio, known for producing and distributing top-tier content (TV/film, documentaries) across various streaming platforms. They are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager with a CPA certification, public accounting experience (preferably Big 4), and ERP implementation expertise to join their accounting team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the financial operations of a rapidly growing company in the entertainment industry.

Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager will oversee all accounting and financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP. The ideal candidate will bring a strong public accounting background (Big 4 preferred), ERP implementation experience, and an in-depth understanding of financial systems to help streamline and improve processes. This role will work closely with senior leadership to ensure effective financial reporting, tax compliance, and the successful execution of ERP-related projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP.
  • Oversee the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes to provide key financial insights to senior leadership.
  • Lead the successful implementation and optimization of ERP systems to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ERP systems and financial processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Work with production, legal, and operations teams to support financial planning and budgeting for projects.
  • Reconcile accounts, prepare journal entries, and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance and thorough documentation.
  • Develop financial reporting for internal stakeholders and external investors, providing data-driven insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements within the accounting department and across the organization.
Qualifications:
  • CPA certification is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong experience in public accounting, preferably from a Big 4 firm, with exposure to the entertainment or media industry.
  • Experience with ERP system implementation and optimization (experience with systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial regulations, and tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a track record of improving financial processes.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity in managing confidential information.
