As a Statistical Research Scientist II, you'll play a crucial role in advancing injury prevention research that directly impacts our communities. CIC is a multidisciplinary research center dedicated to addressing injury-related public health challenges through innovative research, collaboration, and advocacy. In this position, you'll tackle complex statistical analyses, collaborate with top researchers, and contribute to cutting-edge studies that make a difference. This is more than just a job-it's an opportunity to use your expertise to drive meaningful change and improve lives. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the statistical analysis needs for CIC injury prevention research and evaluation efforts in Milwaukee County and across Wisconsin.
- Serve as a statistician on translational injury research studies with responsibilities ranging from collaborating on, reviewing, or directly leading study design, to developing analysis plans, and conducting sophisticated and cutting-edge data analyses.
- Contribute to science through both independent and collaborative research, including co-authoring papers and contributing to grant development and submission.
- Assist in outcome interpretation and composition of the results sections of manuscripts and reports.
- Communicate results to collaborators and larger scientific audiences at research conferences.
- Plan and perform statistical analyses using advanced techniques; determine and review statistical findings with investigators and recommend design modifications.
- Lead efforts to apply novel statistical methodologies related to injury epidemiology
- Lead, supervise, and collaborate with staff, including biostatisticians and potentially graduate or medical students.
- Regularly review the latest research methodologies in statistical approaches and develop plans for implementation.
- Implement reproducible research standards, including sharing code and using version control software.
- Provide expertise in the development and maintenance of data management systems that optimize the efficiency of statistical analyses and reporting.
- Participate in regular meetings with DDAI staff and faculty, CIC leadership, CIC Administrative Core, and other CIC collaborators.

Experience:
- A minimum of three years of experience in advanced statistical analysis, preferably in public health or related fields.
