Manager, Workday Financials Consulting

The Manager, Workday Financials Consulting is a "go to" practice leader, expected to provide expertguidance to the Financials Consulting management team and their subsequent teammembers. This individual will assist the sales team with sales activities, such as orals,estimations and Statements of Work (SOWs). This person works closely with EngagementManagers, Project Managers, Managing Consultants, and leads, and acts as a liaisonbetween the Consulting team and executive management. This person will assist inidentifying business needs, staffing projects, and ensuring that the work/life balance ofour consultants is monitored and adjusted appropriately.

KeyResponsibilities:

Project Oversight:

  • Oversight responsibility for Workday Financials projects across the practice
  • Oversee and assist engagement/project managers and team members whenneeded to identify project needs, reduce risk and develop solutions andstrategies

Sales Support:

  • Support the RFP response and pursuit process for Financials Consulting work

Team Leadership:

  • Assist in the recruitment, development, and management of a diverse, remoteteam of consultants supporting Workday applications
  • Promote a team-oriented, challenging, and innovative work environment
  • Lead and manage Managers and Consultants to ensure consultants are adheringto the activities, processes and procedures outlined in Workday andCognizant's Implementation Methodology
  • Drive team and individuals to achieve high client satisfaction levels
  • Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
  • Ability to build trust-based relationship and identify and foster businessdevelopment opportunities

People Development:

  • Perform role of mentor and coach
  • Analyze team skills and provide for cross training to maintain teams' ability tostaff projects appropriately
  • Advise management team on team members' level of expertise and availability

Performance Management:

  • Establish direct reports' goals and objectives during the bi-annual reviewprocess
  • Direct the collection of performance feedback from client andengagement/project manager on a quarterly basis or upon completion ofproject for your entire team
  • Direct the collection of all internal contributions for team members assuringdata is received by HR on a quarterly basis
  • Drive bi-annual performance review process for the Consulting team

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of Workday Financials Consulting implementation experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience leading a virtual team for 2+ years
  • Required consulting characteristics: fast learner, detail-oriented, decisive, and enjoy fast paced work environments
  • Required management characteristics: develop new relationships, cultivate growth in others, understand motivations, identify development opportunities, provide practice leadership, execute effective management techniques that support the success of the practice and your consultants
  • Must work well within and across teams to get things accomplished
  • Possess sales engagement experience estimating and presenting to prospects
  • Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site if needed
