JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Berks invites applications for a Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor of Communication Arts and Sciences committed to excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level. The 36-week, teaching track, one-year appointment begins in August 2025 and includes the possibility of reappointment. Onsite teaching is an essential function of this job. Primary duties for the Lecturer/Assistant Teaching Professor include:
Qualifications: Minimum qualification of a Master's degree in communication or a similar field from an accredited institution is required; Ph.D. preferred. Prior college-level teaching experience preferred, specifically in public speaking and other courses in the candidate's teaching/research specialty. Title commensurate with degree. Lecturer or Instructor -A lecturer or instructor should possess at least a master's degree or its equivalent, or be an active candidate for a terminal degree, in an academic field related to their teaching specialization.
