Proven to Perform. From the edges of space to the bottoms of ocean, our materials are proven to perform -- and so is our team. We're hiring high performers as proven as our products. Join us. Summary: The Dimensional Inspector III measures the dimensional features of the forging assuring the product is conforming to the customer part drawings or part models. This is performed using a variety of measuring instruments including, stationary CMMs, portable measuring arms (ROMER) or using micrometers, height gauges, vernier calipers, or inspection fixtures.
- Essential Functions:
- Always review the assigned job task and consider safety before action.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing and datum construction.
- Measure the forgings per the inspection method sheet (IMS) using the proper precision measuring tools, surface plate, height gauges, and inspection fixtures.
- Run, Program and train on either the CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) or ROMER (Portable Coordinate Measuring Machine).
- For nonconforming hardware work with engineers, supervisors, and other dimensional inspectors to determine the best options for salvaging the nonconforming hardware and preventing future nonconformances of the same type.
We thrive when the expectations are great, and the barriers are high. We're solving the world's most difficult challenges through materials science.
