About our group:

Seagate's Longmont, CO facility is a 528,000 sq. ft. design center built in 2000. It contains both lab and office space, including a clean room facility. Facilities is responsible for ensuring that the building and services meet the needs of the employees that work in it.Facilities provides all maintenance to the building and grounds through preventive, proactive and reactive maintenance programs.

About the role - you will:

  • Performs predictive/preventative maintenance program.
  • Performs tasks and maintenance activities involving the operation of facilities, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Works from written/verbal instructions, layouts, or defined plans. Performs general maintenance/repair and is responsible for monitoring equipment efficiencies.
  • Coordinates any equipment shutdown, upgrade or installation requirements with appropriate supervision.
  • Comprehensive understanding of general and technical aspects of the job. Applies policies and procedures.
  • Required to be on the on-call rotation.
  • Experience with Building Automation Systems, preferably Metasys.
  • Monitors critical system operations (chiller plant, electrical distribution, water filtration, and other mechanical systems).
  • Performs general maintenance/repair duties in accordance with maintenance program.
  • Performs general mechanical, plumbing, and electrical repairs on equipment including large vertical and horizontal pumps, cooling towers, AHU's, CRAC Units, FPB's, VAB's, exhaust fans, chilled/condenser/heating/domestic water piping systems, plumbing fixtures, breaker and ballast replacements.
  • Performs daily work orders and proactive maintenance in accordance with maintenance program and ensures lock-out/tag-out program and other safety programs are followed.
  • Assists with overseeing national vendors providing maintenance and repairs on specialized equipment. This equipment consists of parallel and single module UPS systems, STS/PDU's, generators, PLC controls, BMS, and centrifugal chillers.
  • Performs wall, ceiling, lighting, and floor repair.
  • Performs painting maintenance and general labor.
  • Adhere to and enforce site Environmental, Health, and Safety requirements and regulations for contractors.



Essential Duties




  • Preventive Maintenance of HVAC and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of HVAC and associated equipment.
  • Preventive maintenance of all other critical infrastructure equipment and manage third party vendors providing additional services, such as preventive maintenance and repair of critical infrastructure where self performing is not available within the assigned sites.
  • Troubleshooting and repair of all other critical infrastructure equipment. Perform tasks associated with all phases of critical infrastructure management, maintenance, repair, engineering of a variety of equipment within a telecommunications center environment.
  • Administrative duties, email, Oracle, SharePoint, etc. and manage and track spend, use Oracle applications and other web based applications.
  • Efficiencies, engineering, analysis, tracking and managing vendors.


About you:

  • Able to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; lift 25 lbs.; Valid driver's license required; work in all weather conditions.
  • Experience with maintenance and repairs on water filtration systems
  • Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize with good time management skills.

Your experience includes:

High School Diploma/GED and 5+ years of relevant job experience in HVAC/R and associated mechanical systems.

The estimated base wage range for this position is $26.44 - $37.82/hr. The individual base wage is based on work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
