Bioinformatics Analyst

Description

Our lab is dedicated to generating multi-omics datasets that are pivotal in understanding lymphoid organ and immune cell development, with the potential to advance tissue regeneration therapies. We are seeking a talented and motivated candidate to contribute to complex research projects and bioinformatic analyses:

* Conduct bioinformatic analyses for transcriptomic data, including single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and ATAC-Seq, generated by the project researcher.

* Collaborate with the Principal Investigator, project researcher, and computational biologists to address biological questions and implement appropriate data analysis pipelines.

* Maintain an accurate and organized catalog of lab omics data and sequencing records.

* Manage the upload of datasets to online repositories following publication.

* Generate clear, publication-quality figures to effectively communicate research findings.

* Ensure timely completion of multiple analyses with meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.

* Provide guidance and oversight for bioinformatic analyses performed by current and future lab students.

Salary Range: $32.95 - $67.53/hour

Qualifications

* Minimum of one year of professional experience in Statistics, Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Data Specification, or Data Science.

* Proven experience applying statistical methods to research projects, clinical trials, and/or grants and publications.

* Proficiency with statistical software applications, including STATA, R, or SAS.

* Demonstrated skill in designing and constructing databases.

* Ability to apply statistical methods and models to analyze complex datasets.

* Competency in summarizing statistical analysis and communicating data into clear, actionable insights.

* Bachelor's degree in Statistics or related field is highly preferred.
