Credit Services Analyst, Hybrid, Easton, PA
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Analyzes credit information to establish customers' credit limits. Collect outstanding accounts receivable timely and with minimal losses.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Interact with credit associations and other credit professionals to gather credit information. Analyze financial information to assess customer liquidity. Establish credit limits for new accounts within credit policies and procedures. Perform periodic reviews of existing account credit limits.
- Recommend credit insurance levels appropriate for customer risk profile.
- Manage account Credit Holds with customers and internal stakeholders. Review and release sales orders on Order Hold.
- Review assigned customer A/R Aging and take action to keep current. Conduct collection calls, reconcile statements, re-issue invoices, request credit memos, and take appropriate actions to collect amounts due.
- Determine best method to deal with past due accounts, including the setup of special credit arrangements and payment schedules.
- Process bankruptcy documents, submit reclamation claims and defend preference claims. Work with assigned attorney when needed.
- Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectable. Recommend bad debt write-offs.
- Perform analytics on credit and collections metrics to monitor customer performance.
- Support requests from financial and sales tax auditors.
- Support subsidiary use of SAP Credit and Collection modules.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Business
- Minimum 8 years credit & collections experience
- Ability to apply accounting principles to analyze customer financial condition
- Strong working knowledge of SAP credit and collections modules
- Ability to effectively secure prompt payments from customers utilizing proper credit protocol
- Computer proficiency: Excel and Word
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
