Information Systems 1 Intern (Hybrid, onsite 3 days per week, Forks Township PA)

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The intern will assist the network team with entry-level tasks ensuring proper function of the enterprise network. Reviewing incoming tickets to evaluate for necessary information, creating new tickets, working on small projects (ex: network cabinet rewiring), helping to complete basic service level tasks such as IP address requests, DNS investigations, firewall requests. Help formalize communications between IS sub-departments and review/update technical documentation where applicable. Assist the Field Services team by providing appropriate assistance with network-related items, such as WIFI troubleshooting, wired network connectivity, etc.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Pursing a degree in Computer Science, Info Systems, Business Administration or related fields. Experience with network or info security a plus. Basic understanding of network concepts, both physical and conceptual (OSII model). Positive attitude with strong interest in learning about working within and IS department in and office environment. Good communication skills with proven ability to understand key concepts and communicate effectively with technical staff and business stakeholders. Prior internship experience is preferred.
