Regional Sales Manager - Semiconductor

GEMU Valves, an ISO 9001-certified engineering equipment company, specializes in the development, production, and manufacturing of diaphragm valves. Committed to efficiency, accuracy, and excellence, we are expanding our team. The Sales Manager will play a critical role in the sale cycle. Your role will focus on fostering strong client relationships, developing sales strategies to successfully deliver client acquisition.

General Description/Purpose:

The primary responsibilities of this position include growing market share and developing a loyal customer base through direct sales and the effective utilization of marketing tools to achieve sales forecast targets. The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for expanding and maintaining sales within an assigned region, which includes recruiting, training, and developing channel partners. This role will specifically focus on the Semiconductor, Microelectronics, and Solar (i.e., SEM markets) industries for valves and instrumentation.

Job Duties (Including but not limited to):

  • Develop, market, and sell all GEMU product lines to applicable accounts within the designated region.
  • Utilize and cultivate various sales channels to foster profitable growth.
  • Oversee and audit distributor activity at the end-user level.
  • Identify, contact, and develop new accounts.
  • Organize seminars at A&E firms to influence valve specifications and ensure GEMU is specified.
  • Prepare presentations and proposals for the GEMU product portfolio to be used in on-site presentations and sales calls.
  • Identify decision-makers and communicate key information to the sales team and cross-functional colleagues to coordinate specification work.
  • Support customers, OEMs, end-users, engineering firms, and distributors within the region.
  • Provide project update lists for your region as requested by the Project Management team.
  • Submit a travel itinerary one to two weeks prior to travel.
  • Submit trip reports within the timeframe determined by the Director of Sales and Marketing.
  • Perform all related sales tasks as directed by your manager as they arise.
  • Forecast requirements, prepare an annual budget, and develop strategies to increase sales revenue and meet sales targets.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain aspects of the marketing plan.
  • Assist with the coordination of trade shows and attend trade shows as requested.
  • Analyze and provide feedback on market trends to the company.
  • Analyze bid requests and specifications for major contracts and projects.
  • Follow up on quotations and provide feedback through the CRM system.
  • Adhere to the published expense policy and guidelines.
  • Utilize sales tools provided.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Schedule

Incumbent should be flexible as some early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as determined by business need. Some international travel may be required.

Essential Knowledge Skills:

  • Deep knowledge of sales cycles, effective closing techniques, and negotiation strategies.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, with the ability to maintain accurate client data records.
  • Technical acumen or familiarity with industrial or engineered products.
  • Ability to develop strategic account plans and manage high-value accounts.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English to effectively perform job functions.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and perform well under pressure.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.

Qualification Standards:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a technical field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • 5+ years of experience in Regional Sales Management or Key Account Management, in the Semiconductor/Microelectronics industry.

General Standards:

  • Ability to travel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Current auto insurance coverage.
  • Highly skilled in the utilization of Microsoft products and project management applications.
