Position Summary:
The Credit Analyst evaluates the credit worthiness of businesses and determines their ability to repay loans and lines of credit, including those used to purchase equipment, real estate and other goods. Their responsibilities include developing financial profiles and investigating credit histories. The Credit Analyst will also conduct a cash flow analysis determining how much cash and liquid asset a business has on hand with how much it owes. This position also prepares the loan material for presentation to the Business Loan Committee.
What you will do:
Risk Analysis:
Proficiently reviews and Interpret member legal and consumer financial documents, to make sound analyses.(i.e., credit reports, pay stubs, tax filings, divorce, trusts, and death certificates)
Interpret and Review business financials to make reasonably profitability analysis. (I.e. Profit loss statements, income statements, corporate tax filings).
Interprets and reviews Commercial Real Estate Appraisals
Credit Analysis for Loan Committee
Conducts financial analysis to determine financial status and expected profit from loan products
Prepare reports that include the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money
Perform and document financial spread.
Generate financial ratios, using computer
Assign overall risk rating of loans to ensure that they are in line with Telhio's Credit Union Loan Policy
Loan Committee Preparation and Presentation:
Review and compile the loan application documentation for completeness.
Structures loan package for presentation
Prepare loan packages and present to approving authority and loan committee.
Preparing written evaluations and recommendations for approvals
Creates Presentation s for loan Committee meeting
Utilizes standardized presentation format / outline in Presentation
Presentation delivery is clear and organized
Presentation delivery clearly communicates the identified risks associated with the loa
Responds clearly and accurately to the questions raised by the Business Loan Committee.
Communication:
Communicates in effective and organized manner with Business Loan Committee and Chief Lending Officer
Communicates in effective and organized manner with borrower / potential borrower
Communicates in effective and organized manner with associates
Correspondence is written in a professional manner and tone
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree Required
1-3 years Credit Analyst experience in Commercial Lending Required
Ability to read and understand bank, financial statement and tax return documents
Strong math and analytical skills
Good decision making skills
Effective communication skills (oral and written)
