Job Description: Data & Analytics Technical Analyst
Key responsibilities * Partner with product management, data engineering, and data architecture to help design and build high level data architectures that are organized in a strategic fasion that supports scalability, re-usability, and end user accessibility. * Work with product teams to define data sources by partnering with information and enterprise architecture. * Work with product teams to define Key Performance Indicators and supporting data attributes and business rules * Work with product teams to ensure data meets business requirements * Optimize data designs and rationalize data objects across data products to reduce data redundancies and duplication * Analyze existing data stores and interfaces to support current state and future state data architectures * Analyze and profile data to identify anomalies and ensure satisfaction of business requirements * Create Source to Target mappings for new data sets * Partner with enterprise data management and strategy on business glossary implementation and governance and stewardship * Work with report developers to align dataset design with report design * Partner with information architecture to provide feedback on conceptual models and review logical and physical data models * Partner with information architecture on naming standards * Provide data consistency across multiple scrum teams within a capability * Facilitate data requirements elicitation and modeling sessions including use of interview, document analysis, workshops etc. * Participate in data definition and data management reviews * Partner with source system on new initatives and enhancements Requirements for the position include: * Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent * 5+ years of experience working in technology, preferably in BI and Analytics * 5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis or system analysis * Strong knowledge of relational and dimensional data modeling concepts * Strong knowledge of data architecture and database structure * Strong data analysis skills * Strong SQL skills * Experience with big data and cloud with Databricks & Snowflake is preferred * Experience, interest and adaptability to working in an Agile delivery environment. * Ability to work in a fast paced environment where change is a constant * Ability to handle ambiguous requirements * Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) * Self-motivated and collaborative Comments for Suppliers: Remote - preference (not required) to a local candidate that can come onsite for team meetings as needed. Possible extensions after fiscial year end 5+ years exp in Data Analysis SQL Expert Ability to be in the data, navigate data - no data design needed Snowflake/Data Bricks preferred Good communication skills, business acumen & able to work independently |
