Seeking 2nd Shift Production Leader - 4pm-2:30am, Mon-Thurs, $18-21/hr + $1/hr shift pay
SUMMARY

Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations within assigned production or distribution group.

Top Priorities: Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement, Production Goals

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.


  • Determines work procedures, prepares work schedules, and expedites workflow.
  • Issues written and oral instructions.
  • Assigns duties and examines work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency.
  • Train new and existing employees as required.
  • Fill all customers orders accurately and on time.
  • Take independent actions for minor maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Notify Friction Center Manager if equipment is not operating properly and maintenance is required.
  • Ensure all employees within production group are adhering to the Haldex Safety and Quality policies.
  • Verify at the end of each shift that all equipment is properly shut down, housekeeping has been performed and any other activities required for shift ending are completed.
  • Accurate completion of daily reports as required by Friction Center Manager.



SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Lead employees by example through supporting company policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and minimum of one year related experience and/or training.
  • High Mechanical and industrial experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, percent and volume.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
