POSITION SUMMARY:

The virtual construction department at Pepper Construction is on the leading edge of technology adoption and modeling capabilities including but not limited to coordination, detailing, visualization, date capture, and data management. Our number one goal is to assist our clients, design teams, and project teams in communicating expectations and addressing complex conditions. As a senior project manager for virtual construction, you will be a leader of the team as well as a companywide advocate for technology and innovation.

A senior project manager must uphold current standards and expectations while continuously evaluating and optimizing capabilities, processes, and deliverables. Current group goals in expanding structural services, design team integration, and enclosure coordination will merit an individual with similar background or interests.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Leadership



  • Provide quality control and review of team deliverables for geometry, detailing, and general trade coordination of structural and enclosure systems.
  • Assist in expanding structural services in enclosure coordination and design coordination.
  • Create, update, maintain, and optimize company standards and protocols related to Technical Services and/or technology
  • Provide training and serve as a mentor to less experienced personnel


Project Management



  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Project Management, Field Supervision, and design team; both written and verbal
  • Facilitate the detailing process to ensure contract document compliance while also optimizing material savings, efficient documentation, and simplified constructability.
  • Capable of big picture oversight for budgeting services, planning, and staffing.
  • Capable of detailed document review to identify potential issues, conflicts, and alternates.
  • Ability to use, learn, and evaluate different modeling and analysis programs. Fast learner.
  • Ensure accountability for high quality deliverables
  • Mange costs including addendum pricing and projections.



Business development



  • Adopt a leading role in technology adoption and innovation within the company.
  • Prepare and participate in internal and external presentations and project interviews
  • Continued awareness of new and developing tools, technologies, and processes.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS:



  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or Construction Management or related technical area
  • At least eight (8) years' experience in concrete design, structural detailing, or enclosure systems.
  • Expertise in Tekla Structures or equivalent modeling and analysis programs, Tekla Custom Components, Reports, & Templates, PowerBI, & Microsoft Prioritized.



The target salary for this position is $130,000. We consider many factors when determining actual hiring salary. These factors may include location, transferable skills, work experience, licensure and certification, business needs, internal equity, and market demands.
