This position is 100% onsite ; shift timings - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
What you will experience in this position: In this position, you will get to:
Provide technical support to New Product Development projects Assist engineers with resolution of technical issues Build prototypes and test equipment Conduct electrical & mechanical tests Provide feedback to engineers and development team Maintain laboratory space to environmental and safety standards Support/maintain the control, calibration and inspection of test and measurement equipment Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical testing equipment Assist with obtaining agency certification testing Grow your career and learn new skills
AA degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering or HS diploma with industry experience 1+ years relevant industry experience
Skills:
Experience or proficiency performing technical experiments when provided with test plans Experience or proficiency setting up power circuits for testing - including but not limited to circuits utilizing resistive load banks, variacs, shunts, and various devices under test (DUT) Gathering test data using data acquisition software Collating and organizing raw data in a reviewable format Ability to evaluate and troubleshoot electronic and electrical equipment (both controllers and internal test equipment) Experience or proficiency in building mechanical test equipment Experience or proficiency in building electrical test equipment Proficiency in communicating observations and results Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of applications (esp. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Handle multiple tasks and prioritize per team requirements Working knowledge in soldering/electronics/electrical is desired Ability to troubleshoot

nVent's pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee's work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
Compensation Range: $20.60 - $38.30 Per Hour
