Responsibilities

The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury invites applications for an adjunct faculty position with expertise in clinical anatomy and dissection to assist in the lab portion of the Gross Anatomy course. Applications are now being accepted with an anticipated start date of May 20, 2025.

Responsibilities:

    Collaborate with the primary course instructor to design a class schedule, lectures, activities, assignments, and relevant grading rubrics that meet the course objectives and syllabus requirements (Please note that all assignments and practical examinations must have grading rubrics).
  • Collaborate with the primary instructor to create examinations to evaluate student knowledge.
  • Prepare current and evidence-based teaching materials for the course.
  • Evaluate students and provide appropriate feedback to students.
  • Be available via email and by appointment, to meet with students.
  • Maintain currency and proficiency in instructional methods relevant to their teaching areas (e.g. technological integration, active learning strategies, adult learning concepts).


Qualifications

Recent experience in human cadaver dissection.

Extensive knowledge in human gross anatomy.

NYS License to practice physical therapy preferred.

Must be a professional in good standing.

New York Tech considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate experience/expertise, education/training, key skills, geographic location, internal peer equity as well as market, organizational considerations and/or applicable collective bargaining agreement when extending an offer.

Adjunct Faculty offered hourly rate is contingent on applicable rank.



Minimum Salary

USD $97.00/Hr.


Maximum Salary

USD $106.00/Hr.
