About the Department |
The mission of the Department of Population Health and Pathobiology is to recruit, train, inspire, and graduate Doctors of Veterinary Medicine of exemplary knowledge, skill, and character. Essential Job Duties |
Dr. Jeong lab's research focuses on using 3D organoid models of animal cancers and combining bioinformatics and histopathology to study mechanisms of oncogenesis and metastasis.
Primary duties include but are not limited to:
- Generation and maintenance of cancer cell lines from animal patients
- Long term storage and organization of cell lines
- Record keeping of experimental protocols and daily activities in lab notebooks
- Assist with analyzing phenotypes of cell lines
- Organize and order lab consumables
- Manage safety training certificates for lab members
- Handle biohazard disposal
- Participate in weekly research meetings with PI and other lab members
