Packer/Inspector - 3rd Shift (11pm - 7am)

What You Will Do

Inspecting Automotive glass for any defects or visual items such as surface, edgework, and size for proper specifications
• Packing Automotive glass according to packaging guidelines
• Rework Automotive glass, if necessary
• Plan for and address daily production needs
• Collect data throughout the shift
• Keeping general work area in a clean, orderly and safe condition
• Performing miscellaneous and related duties as assigned

What We Need From You

• Ability to work Holidays, Weekends and Overtime
• Good attendance is important to our team Vitro. We are looking for candidates who demonstrate a history of good attendance and who welcome overtime.
• Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
• Ability to effectively communicate
• Ability to pass the Pre-employment background check & drug screen test
• Required: Must have a High School Diploma or GED
• Required: Must be 18 years of age or older

Physical Requirements and Safety:

• Perform duties within normal manufacturing environmental conditions
• Must be able to climb stairs, push/pull, reach, see, hear and speak
• Will work in warm conditions
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and with assistance, above 50 pounds
• There can be repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds
• In addition, this position requires the following abilities: standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting
• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Must follow posted security procedures at all times while in the building
• Must follow all Personal Protective Equipment requirements
