*Role: Security/Alarm Installer* *Job Description:*
As a Security/Alarm Installer, you will be responsible for installing, programming, testing, repairing, and servicing a variety of systems and equipment, including security, fire alarm, and life safety systems. This role involves working on large commercial security projects in the Cheyenne area. *Key Responsibilities:* * Travel to job sites in your own vehicle for the first 12 months. * Install, program, test, repair, and service non-routine systems and equipment. * Provide technical support and training to customers, ensuring high customer satisfaction. * Complete accurate and detailed service reports for timely invoicing and job cost tracking. * Maintain exceptional customer focus and work effectively under pressure. * Troubleshoot and solve technical problems with fire alarm and electronic security systems. * Work independently with minimal supervision. * Use a variety of hand and power tools, and read blueprints and drawings. * Handle multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills. * Communicate effectively with jobsite leads, project managers, and supervisors. * Travel locally to job sites regularly, with minimal overnight travel required. *Skills and Qualifications:* * Solid technical skills and experience with fire alarm and electronic security systems. * Strong programming skills and problem-solving abilities. * Mechanical and electrical aptitude, with experience using tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wire strippers, and more. * Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Advanced computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office applications. * Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. * Ability to read blueprints and drawings, and understand basic low-voltage electrical theory. * Experience with installing various security components such as mag locks, crash bars, door contacts, electric strikes, card readers, cameras, network switches, UPS, servers, and patch panels. * Ability to troubleshoot door contacts, open line faults, shorted line faults, and ground faults. * Familiarity with local AHJ code requirements and ability to lead an installation crew *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00 Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
