The Department of Neurological Surgery is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Scientist within the Columbia University Irving Medical Center to work in the field of pain research and newly launched Translational Pain Program (TPP). The TPP is a collaborative project between the laboratories of Dr. Christopher Mandigo, MD and Dr. Raymond Sekula, MD, MBA. The TPP team will lead a collaborative cross-campus initiative dedicated to easing the burden of pain for many patients. Our lab is composed of scientists from various academic backgrounds, including neuroscience, neurology, bioengineering, radiology, pathology, computer science, and psychology. Our lab offer unparalleled access to human tissue through an NIH-supported brain and spinal tissue bank. We aim to create a supportive environment for innovative and rigorous scientific research, as well as personal and professional development of all our members. We provide access to cutting-edge facilities and excellent opportunities for collaboration with members of the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and Columbia University.
