The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology Job Description
The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Otolaryngology is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader for the position of Manager II Business Administration. This role plays a critical role in supporting the School of Medicine (SOM) and the Department's strategic initiatives. This position assists the Department Administrator by handling various operational and administrative duties, allowing them to focus on the department's long-term goals. The Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, provide guidance to administrative staff, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of departmental activities. Key Responsibilities: * Leadership and Staff Management: o Assist and supervise administrative staff, serving as a resource for problem-solving and decision-making outside their scope. * Operational Management: o Oversee and resolve daily operational issues including time away requests, provider support, tumor board coordination, and call schedule management. * Coordination and Recruitment: o Coordinate faculty recruiting on-site visits, ensuring a seamless and professional experience for candidates. * IT and Facilities Liaison: o Serve as the primary point of contact with the IT Department to address technical support needs, including software and hardware requirements. * Promotion and Tenure Management: o Coordinator of the Promotion and Tenure process, ensuring adherence to established policies and guidelines. * Credentialing and Provider Onboarding: o Work with the credentialing specialist and assist in gathering necessary information for the successful onboarding of new providers. * Project Management and Strategic Initiatives: o Coordinate and contribute to special projects, collaborating with the administrative leadership team to develop and implement operational strategies. * Other Duties as Assigned: o Perform other administrative duties as required by the Department Administrator and as needs arise within the Department. Shift Type: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 4 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary. Preferred Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Office Anticipated Hiring Range
Hiring Range: $51,875 - $72,000 Application Materials
