Job Posting:

As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will oversee a team of maintenance technicians responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of machinery, equipment, and systems. Working within a manufacturing environment, you will ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and maintain safety and compliance standards. Under the guidance of the Plant Manager, your role will require hands-on leadership, strong technical expertise, and a commitment to structured problem solving and continuous improvement. You will also lead efforts to establish and sustain a Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) system and leverage Lean tools to drive long-term stability in plant performance.

You Will:

Technical & Operational Leadership

  • Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of electrical systems, including high-voltage and control-voltage circuits.
  • Manage the maintenance of hydraulic systems, ensuring pumps, valves, and actuators function correctly.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems to minimize downtime and maintain continuous production.
  • Coordinate with production and engineering to resolve equipment-related issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Participate in planning and executing capital projects and equipment upgrades.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance (PM) programs to enhance equipment reliability and reduce emergency repairs.
  • Establish and support condition-based monitoring routines and predictive maintenance methods.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of maintenance work orders, spare parts inventory, PMs, and asset history.

Lean and CI Responsibilities

  • Lead the Maintenance Daily Management System, including visual boards, tier meetings, and escalation protocols.
  • Champion Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), including implementation of Autonomous Maintenance (AM) and Focused Improvement (FI) activities in partnership with production.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving workshops using tools such as 5-Why, Fishbone/Ishikawa diagrams, A3 thinking, and PDCA.
  • Use OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) data and loss analysis (Availability, Performance, Quality) to target chronic equipment issues and drive uptime improvements.
  • Conduct downtime analysis and lead root cause countermeasure implementation for top equipment losses.
  • Coach technicians to think critically and use data when troubleshooting and resolving recurring breakdowns.
  • Drive 5S and Visual Management throughout the Maintenance Department, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Maintain and promote a CI visual board that tracks improvement activities, loss elimination efforts, and KPIs tied to equipment health.

Safety and Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety policies, including lockout/tagout, machine guarding, and arc flash protocols.
  • Promote a culture of proactive safety ownership among all maintenance technicians.

You Have:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a maintenance supervisory role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in hydraulic, mechanical, electrical systems and automation systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents: electrical schematics, mechanical blueprints, P&IDs, and manuals.
  • Strong leadership skills and proven ability to coach and develop technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, TPM principles, and structured problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of OEE metrics, OEE loss categorization, and how to translate those insights into action.
  • Solid understanding of industrial safety standards and practices.

Compensation:

The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This range reflects base salary only and does not include potential bonuses, benefits, or other forms of compensation.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
