Position Summary Columbia University is looking for a clinical research coordinator for a NIH-funded project to study the genetics of Alzheimer's Disease in the Hispanic/Latinx population. The candidate will conduct outreach and enrollment in health and community centers, senior centers and other community facilities; he/she will complete blood drawing and structured medical examinations, participate in conferences and events etc. When necessary, the candidate will travel to the site or participant's house for completion of the blood drawing and clinical assessment, and will insure the transfer of blood to the Human Genetics Resources Core Laboratory at Columbia University or other collaborating US sites. He/she will also be trained to complete neuropsychological and family history interviews. The candidate is expected to be bilingual (Spanish and English) and will work closely with the Principal Investigators, research physicians and other clinical coordinators. -Medical evaluation and blood draw: 55% -Travel for participant evaluation: 10% -Blood processing (labeling, shipping): 10% -Participant follow up: 5% -Case conference reviews: 5% -Database maintenance and data entry and reports: 15% Responsibilities
Additional information: this is an in-person position (Monday-Friday; 9am-5pm). We will have a weekly meeting with the PI to review the work being done as well as a weekly meeting with the senior clinical coordinator to go over day-to-day activities. Required
