This opportunity is in the Information Technology Department.

About the Role

As a Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the protection of Safety National's information systems and physical security infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing and managing security programs, designing IT risk management solutions, and proactively identifying security threats and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams across IT, Security, Compliance, and Business stakeholders to ensure alignment with security best practices and compliance requirements. This position requires an advanced working knowledge of cybersecurity principles, physical security systems, and IT risk management tools. Key Responsibilities



  • Lead security architecture initiatives and provide input on security design and implementations.
  • Implement and manage physical security programs, including badge access and camera surveillance systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory security frameworks and corporate security policies.
  • Design and configure systems to support IT risk identification, monitoring, and reporting.
  • Deploy and maintain Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platforms.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate risk management systems with business applications and IT infrastructure.
  • Develop automated workflows for risk assessments and control evaluations.
  • Monitor security systems for compliance gaps, vulnerabilities, and risks.
  • Support internal and external security audits to ensure compliance.
  • Analyze industry security trends and emerging threats to assess potential impacts on the organization.
  • Participate in 24x7 security monitoring and serve in an on-call rotation for incident response.
  • Provide training and guidance on security best practices across the organization.


What We're Looking For



  • Strong understanding of physical security systems, including badge access control and camera surveillance.
  • Experience working with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze and mitigate security threats.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Experience managing physical access control systems and camera surveillance solutions.
  • Hands-on experience installing, monitoring, and maintaining security solutions.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and familiarity with TCP/IP networking protocols.


Qualifications

Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, or a related field (preferred)


Required Qualifications:



  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network security, cloud security, or IT risk management.
  • 5 or more security-related certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, or equivalent).
  • An experienced security professional with a strong background in IT risk management.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity principles, IT risk management, and compliance frameworks.
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Management of Camera Surveillance or Physical Access Control systems
  • Strong expertise in security risk assessments and threat analysis.

In our vision to be First with Co-Workers, compensation is only one piece of the comprehensive total rewards package we offer. The target base salary range for this position is $109,000 to $142,000. Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience and geographic location.
