POSITION SUMMARY The Maintenance Electrician shall be responsible for performing a variety of electrical trade functions in a computer data center, such as the installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment for the generation, distribution, or utilization of electric energy. This position's shift may change each month, so candidate must be available for all three shifts. * Install or repair any of a variety of electrical equipment such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment, including overhead door operators, equipment controls and low voltage controls. * Test electrical currents or components for continuity, using electrical test equipment. * Must have knowledge and understanding of the current National Electrical Code (NEC). * Must be able to work from drawings, layouts, blueprints, or other specifications, locating and diagnosing trouble in the electrical system or equipment. * Inspect and test systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications or to detect and locate malfunctions. * Must comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area. * Perform other related duties as required.
