This role is to support our local team in combating money-laundering and is aligned to our core value of moving money for better.

Role Responsibilities
You will be responsible for leading a team of product managers tasked with the inception, discovery,

solutioning, development, testing, roll-out, and maintenance of Risk and Compliance Platforms designed to minimize potential money laundering risk for Western Union and its affiliates, within the established strategies of the AML Compliance Department.



  • Prioritizes work for more junior members of the product team, directs the team's efforts around run, grow, and transform-type programs and initiatives.
  • Shapes and evolves the way of working for the product team by establishing high-performing stakeholder relationships with adjacent functions, and by refining agile and end-to-end PDLC practices.
  • Creates the conditions under which product teams can thrive by shaping our people/talent, process/procedure, product, and technology strategy.
  • Ideates and pilots innovative ways of fulfilling our Risk and Compliance product mission.
  • Owns the product/platform roadmap and continuously makes priority decisions based on business cases, market, user, and customer impacts.
  • Acts as a steward to the investments made on our platforms by calling out risks and managing the total cost of ownership for any given capability.
  • Continuously educates the product team, as well as internal and external stakeholders on the vision, mission, current and desired future state of our products and platforms.
  • Prepares executive reporting around KPIs and OKRs.
  • Responsible for the performance of our product teams, incorporates short and longer-term professional development goals on the team and team member level.
  • Sets an example of living Western Union's values around engagement and inclusion.
  • Acts as a change agent and driver of innovation.


Role Requirements



  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in business or engineering.
  • 10 years of experience of product management experience in Financial Services, preferably AML Compliance and 5+ years of experience managing teams.
  • Product Management Skills: demonstrated product management skills including strategic and tactical product management, working knowledge of agile methodologies, change management, end-to-end PDLC.
  • Project Management Skills: demonstrated project management skills including the ability to create a project plan, planning and coordinating, organization, adaptability, and execution.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Proven problem-solving skills, a robust technological background, and an understanding of business processes.

Salary

The base salary range is $160,000 - $200,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary plus long-term and short-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
