Position Summary: The Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides patient centered, specialized, evidence based nursing care across the continuum through an inter-professional approach to treatment, research, education and advocacy. APRN's are board-certified providers that assume responsibility and accountability for health stabilization, promotion, and maintenance of acute and chronic illness or injury. Contributes to the goals of the department by being accountable for the delivery of compassionate and safe care within the scope of practice as defined by the DC Board of Nursing and JHSMH policy.The PMHNP role consults, new and ongoing, independently on med/surg units and in the ED (all inpatient, no outpatient). Through collaborative practice with all members of the care team, this role is responsible for patient outcomes that meet the high quality of care provided by JHSMH. The professional practice of nursing at JHSMH involves thepromotion of a culture of innovation and a commitment to academic growth and professional development. Qualifications:

Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
