Exciting Senior Chief Engineer role at a top financial institution!

Lead a skilled team of 6 on a beautiful McLean, VA campus. Manage cutting-edge systems on-site and oversee a remote facility. Drive operational excellence, safety, and efficiency. Here is some of what you will do:

  • Inspire, supervise, and manage engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and personal development.
  • Assist in managing operational aspects of properties as directed by the Regional Facility Manager, Engineering Manager, and senior account leaders.
  • Provide senior technical support and leadership at properties in the market/region.
  • Manage, document, and escalate daily field operational issues to appropriate personnel. Serve as the first point of contact.
  • Identify safety hazards, incorporate remediation, and implement regional safety training programs to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Assist in managing operations audit process as directed by Regional/National Engineer account managers.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines related to building infrastructure operations. Alert management of discrepancies.
  • Maintain all infrastructure and compliance documentation, including up-to-date building drawings, single lines, and records mandated by Federal, State, or Local law.
  • Monitor and maintain HVAC, mechanical, and electrical systems
  • Oversee repairs and preventive maintenance, determining frequency
  • Manage inventory, submit purchase orders, and check equipment conditions
  • Supervise contractors working in the building
  • Train and develop operations staff, enhancing their capabilities
  • Ensure timely completion of required training for self and team
  • Identify and remediate safety hazards, implementing safety programs
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory laws and guidelines
  • Maintain infrastructure documentation and building drawings
  • Administer ESCP programs in collaboration with the facilities team
  • Partner with Facility Managers on budgets, proposals, and financial targets

Here is who we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of Chief Engineering experience, including supervision and critical environments
  • Hands-on experience with critical infrastructure equipment, including UPS systems, generators, HVAC systems, high-voltage electrical systems, and basic plumbing
  • A Universal CFC certification
  • Strategic thinking and innovative problem-solving skills
  • Technical competence in project management and construction
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including CMMS systems
  • Excellent customer service record and strong communication skills (verbal and written).

Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift with on-call required 24/7

Pay $132,200-191,700 with a 20% targeted bonus of the annual salary

Estimated total compensation for this position:

132,200.00 - 191,700.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
