Description
Role: The position will be responsible for managing the Finance operations of the credit union to include financial reporting, budgeting, profitability, pricing, ad hoc analyses, investments, and participations. 40% - (Financial Management) - Prepares and oversees the preparation of financial reporting for the credit union. This includes cash flow positions, financial statements, profitability reporting, credit risk analyses, and other ad hoc analyses. Prepares and performs analyses of the credit union's CECL model, making adjustments as needed. Oversees investment portfolio management and reporting in alignment with strategies set forth by the Investment Committee. Identifies and executes participation loan opportunities in collaboration with the lending teams. Prepares the credit unions annual budget and monthly budget variance reporting. 20% - (Quality) - Serves as a Finance subject matter expert on enterprise-wide initiatives and cross-functional teams for new business ventures, business process improvements, new/enhanced technology projects, and other integrations. Reviews monthly and quarterly reporting for accuracy prior to distribution. Reviews daily/monthly reconciliations related to cash, settlement, and investment accounts. 20% - (Teamwork & Cooperation) - Ensures effective business continuity planning for Finance operations, payment disbursements, and receipt collection processing to effectively identify system and resource contingency procedures. Maintains and cultivates relationships with third party service providers (banks, custodian, treasury system, etc.), and performs regular due diligence on the providers to ensure financial viability and stability. Educates teams in understanding and interpreting financial statements and budget reporting. 10% - (Productivity) - Designs, implements, and operates Finance operations processes, considering best practices and business needs. Ensures effective segregation of duties, internal controls, and appropriate access rights in Finance operations and security administration of online payment processing systems. Actively supports our culture and embraces our core in all interactions. 10% - (Quantity) - Assesses the impact of and ensures compliance with legal and regulatory mandates regarding Finance operations; monitors current economic and market conditions and trends. Monitors daily cash position to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements. Expectations:
