Water and Power Community Credit Union (WPCCU) was founded in 1936 to serve the financial needs of employees of the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. As Los Angeles grew, so did WPCCU. Today, nearly seven decades after opening with just two desks and a typewriter, WPCCU is a full service community-based financial institution serving more than 40,000 members in the greater Los Angeles county with assets over $700M. The credit union's vision is to provide a better banking alternative with a human-centered approach and better overall value to the Angelenos.
