JOB TYPE Classification: Nonexempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY Provides non-clinical and clinical duties in practice under the direction of the Registered Nurse or office manager within his or her scope by acting as a resource for CMA and LPN team members. Acts as a preceptor for new team members during onboarding. Patient Care: Provides assessment, evaluation, and management of patients.
Communication: Communicates information to others responsible for or involved in the care of the patient.
Teamwork: Participates as part of the interdisciplinary care team in planning individualized care.
Medical Knowledge: Demonstrates core knowledge of biomedical and clinical sciences and the application of this knowledge to patient care.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program required. Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in related field preferred. Experience:Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated leadership, training, and process improvement preferred.Experience in the physician office practice setting required. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: Current LPN licensure in applicable state required. BLS required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s) age. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Leadership development. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code: 20A, Nursing Work Function/Activity: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand The job requires constant standing, frequently walking, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull 100 lbs. For any weight over 35 lbs., use Safe Handling Equipment.
