JOB DESCRIPTION:

A Production Manager ensures that manufacturing equipment and tools function properly and increase an organization's efficiencies. Duties include building production schedules, making sure production processes stay within budgets and deadlines and reviewing the productivity of an organization's manufacturing equipment, handling disputes among team members and regularly assessing safety standards in all areas.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Seeking an Operations Production Management Professional to provide leadership and drive accountability to meet and exceed productivity deliverables
• Manage daily operations to ensure daily productivity goals are met
• Manage Safety, Quality, and Production
• Ensure compliance to all applicable laws, policies, and procedures
• Support company, plant, and department objectives
• Evaluating machine resources to ensure continued production and minimal downtime.
• Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly & yearly production requirements
• Drive a culture of accountability and ownership also Identify barriers and bottlenecks to drive improvement
• Conduct daily meetings, one on ones and address performance gaps on a daily basis
• Provide ongoing training, coaching and development
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment to enforce necessary compliance and protocols
• Develop a technically qualified workforce
• Set department standards using knowledge of equipment and processes
• Reduce operating costs, inventories, and lead times through continuous improvements
• Effectively communicate with team members of all levels and status

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum 10 years management experience in the automotive industry is preferred with Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Professional written and oral communication skills
• Effective interpersonal skills
• Experience managing teams of 25+ employees
• Continuous improvement experience (such as Lean, 6Sigma, WCM)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Stamina: Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, especially on factory floors.
• Dexterity: Handling machinery, tools, and overseeing physical operations.
• Manual Dexterity: Occasionally managing machinery or equipment adjustments.

MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving production issues efficiently.
• Leadership & Communication: Managing teams, conveying instructions, and resolving conflicts.
